Game Reserves / National Parks:

South Africa is proud to have a wonderful collection of wildlife regions and game parks - both public and private – these are situated throughout the country, encompassing every possible landscape from deserts to forests, mountains to coastline. Teeming with wildlife species including Africa’s ‘Big 5’ (Leopard, Lion, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino) South Africa is also bird lover’s paradise.

There is a wide range of accommodation offered at South African Game Park/Lodge. Choose from 5-star, luxury indoor or outdoor tented accommodation, fully catered lodges or self catering bush camps. National Elephant Park , KwaZulu Natal
View the world’s largest elephants roaming wild. Within this unique sand forest and grassland ecosystem of the National Elephant Park, roam over 220 of the largest elephants in the world. These are the last remaining indigenous herd in KwaZulu-Natal.
It is also home to a profusion of wildlife including the ‘Big 5’ and more than 340 species of birds are recorded in the park. This is an ‘Africa’ that tourists seldom experience, where an abundance of magnificent African elephants, wild-life game and many rare species live in an environment unchanged by time. It is a very special!!

Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, KwaZulu Natal: The Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Park is under formal conservation in KwaZulu, Natal. Just a few hours drive from Durban, spot the ‘Big 5’ or track the elusive leopard. Established in 1895, this is the oldest game park in South Africa along with nearby St Lucia Reserve

The Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, KwaZulu Natal: The Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park was declared South Africa's first Natural World Heritage Site on 1 December 1999. The park has a near pristine coastline (coral reefs and beaches) with magnificent scenery. This is a remarkably beautiful place to visit in South Africa.

Mkuze Game Reserve, KwaZulu Natal, Zululand: This reserve was proclaimed a protected area in 1912. Mkuze is renowned as a mecca for bird lovers with a wide variety of animal species (black and white rhinoceros, elephant, giraffe, hippo, nyala, blue wildebeest, warthog, eland, impala, kudu and other smaller antelope) including rare species such as cheetah, hyena, suni and leopard.

Kruger National Park, Umpumalanga: The famous ‘Kruger’ is the largest game reserve in South Africa and renowned for the ‘Big 5’. The Kruger National Park is larger than Israel. Nearly 2 million hectares of land that stretch for 352 kilometers (20 000 square kilometers) from north to south along the Mozambique border.

Place of the Rock: This is on the border of the Kruger National Park. If you wish; you may even achieve your Microlight Pilot License here! You will fly viewing the wonderful wild animals and bird life in their natural habitat. Game drives, elephant back safari and interaction, are all available here, included in your Microlight package. A unique and incredible ‘wild life’ experience in which to relax and enjoy over 4000 hectares of an un-spoilt natural game park, very committed to conservation.
