This is a very friendly and relaxing location in which to learn to fly.
Great people, great instruction, great training and great aircraft. Highly recommended for those who purely want to concentrate on flying and become a safe and confident pilot, in the shortest possible time.

Being a smaller school, training is more intimate and there is little to distract you from your goal to become a superior pilot
Your accommodation is based on a farm in a rural, scenic, tranquil and friendly environment - within easy walking distance to the training school.

It is in close proximity to the majestic and famous Maluti Mountains, with some of the oldest caves and bushman (SAN) paintings.

The Golden Gate Highland Wildlife Park and the Village of Clarens, (renowned for its art galleries, restaurants and great weekend vibe!!) – is a short distance away for those “not flying today” excursions.

Shops and other amenities are situated nearby, the school is always willing to assist students with trips into town for groceries, fun and entertainment and a well earned break from training.

Duration period is a minimum of +- 8 - 12 weeks full time (intensive), depending on the weather conditions and the individual student’s own ability to adapt to the concept of flying.
You also have the added advantage of already being in the General Flying Area – so little training time is wasted flying there and back, before being able to get on with the actual lesson.

Basic training is on the SAMBA XL aircraft.
45 HOURS (JAR/ICAO-compliant) is the current minimum CAA requirement for a PPL. This consists of:

  • 25 Dual hours
  • 5 Dual Basic Instruments
  • 15 Solo hours

If you wish to do all your flight hours on the C172 please request the additional costs involved)

Accommodation is included for a 2 month period for the PPL - this can be extended if required. The accommodation is self – catering but the school will assist you with transport to purchase provisions

There are no set courses or starting dates. All training is on a 'one to one' basis.

*Please note that as this is a small school totally dedicated to your future as a pilot.
Training and accommodation availability is limited – please enquire and book well in order advance in order to avoid disappointment

Please inquire or refer to the costs for an up to date of estimated rates.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice due to increased aviation related costs.
