The cost of your flight training will vary depending on the location you select and the aircraft/s you wish to do your training on.
Below is a current estimated guideline. Costs may alter subject to fluctuation of currency and oil prices.
All costs shown EXCLUDE accommodation.
Accommodation costs can vary from crewhouse to luxury guesthouse standard. You can budget on B&B basis (with breakfasts) from R500 /night with better deals for extended stays. You could budget at R5,000 per week including evening meals.
Please note that these are ESTIMATED Prices as the costs vary between cities and flight schools and are affected by volatile fuel costs.
These costs are expressed in South African Rands (ZAR).

COMPARING QUOTES FROM FLIGHT SCHOOLS.....
When quotations differ significantly you may need to consider the following.
- Is the quoted price based on the minimum flight hours required or is it based on a more realistic estimate of average hours needed.? Most students will need more hours than the specified.
- How many hours of ground school are catered for.?
- External fees paid to parties outside the flight school may not be included in some quotations. You need to check if the quotation covers: examination fees, landing fees, SACAA licensing fees, the designated examiner fees, the practical radio examination and the examiner fee, pilot excess insurance and pilot kits.
